Tips & Tricks

Ready to Spray: The gun is pre-set and ready to use with the flow screw in the default 3:00 position, a 3/4 turn open from the fully closed position indicated by the etched dot.

Maintain Proper Distance: Hold the M1000 Spray Gun 6 inches (15cm) from your client. Moving it farther increases the mist pattern and causes overspray.

Keep it Vertical: Always hold the spray gun vertically. To change the mist pattern direction, rotate the air cap, do not tilt the gun.

Don't Over-Tighten: Stop turning the screw once the trigger won't pull back anymore, over-tightening can damage the needle tip.

NOTE: Turning the solution flow screw more than 3 turns won't increase flow, it actually reduces your spray gun's efficiency.

Use only genuine manufacturer replacement parts.

Always hold or store the Spray Gun in a vertical position. A slot in the M1000 HVLP unit is provided to hold and store the spray gun. It is a good habit to use this when you are not spraying.
