Tips & Tricks

Ready to Spray: The gun is pre-set and ready to use with the flow screw in the default 3:00 position, a 3/4 turn open from the fully closed position indicated by the etched dot.

Maintain Proper Distance: Hold the M1000 Spray Gun 6 inches (15cm) from your client. Moving it farther increases the mist pattern and causes overspray.

Keep it Vertical: Always hold the spray gun vertically. To change the mist pattern direction, rotate the air cap, do not tilt the gun.

Don't Over-Tighten: Stop turning the screw once the trigger won't pull back anymore, over-tightening can damage the needle tip.

NOTE: Turning the solution flow screw more than 3 turns won't increase flow, it actually reduces your spray gun's efficiency.

How do I put the M100 spray tan system together?

The M1000 arrives mostly assembled and is designed for quick setup. Here are the Initial Assembly Steps:

Connect the hose: Connect the hose to the male connector on the M1000 system. Release the ring to allow the coupler to snap into place.
Prepare the spray gun: Locate the air cap on the M1000 spray gun. Slightly turn the air cap ring counterclockwise to loosen the air cap. You can now rotate the air cap freely.
Power setup: Plug the Norvell M1000 HVLP spray tan system unit into a proper electrical outlet.
Turn on the system: The ON/OFF Switch is located under the carry handle of the M1000 HVLP Turbo Unit. Turn it on. You will hear a sound similar to a vacuum cleaner.
