How to Apply

Prepare the skin with our Glow System Exfoliator or Ex-Mitt to gently exfoliate and balance pH levels prior to self-tanner application.

Exfoliate within 24 hours prior to application for best results
In a well ventilated area, apply to clean, dry skin.
Keep the can in constant motion and hold 6-8 inches from body.
Apply spray in a sweeping motion across area to be tanned.

Tips & Tricks

The instant bronzers serve as a visual guide to help indicate where product has been applied.
Avoid over-application to elbows, hands, knees, ankles, and feet.
Avoid getting wet for at least 8 hours.

"I love this product. Definitley trading in the tanning bed for this! Not sure why it doesnt have a 5 star review. Its idiot proof! I use barrier cream first then the ph balance spray then spray myself with no problems. Ive never been orange, streaky, or blotchy and the color is pretty much instant (u will will get a tad darker over time) And it doesnt leave a smell or stain ur sheets or wash off in the shower immediatley. I cant say enough good things about it!"

Sprays on neatly...

"Sprays on neatly... However, I learned that it's easier to prevent a messy situation when spraying in your bedroom by covering the rug with a towel. Otherwise it does stain the carpet! But all and all it's a great look when you don't like to go out in the sun but want that realistic tan look. It's not orange at all. A truly great product that I've been using now for three summers."

It was good just a little darker than I expected

"It was good just a little darker than I expected which means it fades blotchy. I am super fair but this happens with any product that is too dark on me. It is less about the spray and more about my skin tone. I also had a few problems with the nozzle sneezing little splatters when I would stop and start again but it didn't make a difference as I continued to spray all over."

"I love this stuff and I have tried several, very expensive self tanners over the years. Takes a little practice to get it even but once applied it leaves a natural long lasting color. Make sure to exfoliate and apply moisturizer to any dry areas before applying (ankles, feet, inner and outer elbow). I reapply once a week after scrubbing off the old color with a loofa in the shower~"

Coming from someone who is pale skinned

"Coming from someone who is pale skinned and only spray tans this is the perfect spray. It is bronze not orange color that gradually gets darker like most spray tans over time, It gives you almost immediate results and is easy to use for someone who has sprayed themselves before. This product also lasts so if you mess up and tend to go dark or have spots you will have to learn to accept them for the day unless you plan on scrubbing because it does not leave a lot of room for messing up. Again, great product and I am ordering another bottle as we speak!"

Q&A

Has anyone tried to apply the spray mist with a buff applicator? It is sooo messy to spray and I don’t have a paint booth!: You can absolutely use our Applicator Mitt with the Dark Self-Tanning Mist (https://norvelltanning.com/products/applicator-mitt). Here's a technique that works well: spray the mist onto the mitt first, then blend it onto your skin. This gives you much more control and eliminates overspray! The mitt is specifically designed to work with all our self-tanning products, including sprays, and it'll help you get that seamless, streak-free application without the mess. Plus, you can create beautiful contouring effects this way. For your face, you can also spray onto a makeup sponge and blend - same principle, total control! This method actually gives many artists better precision than direct spraying.
